The PlayStation Plus April 2021 games have been revealed! You’ll be able to pick up Days Gone, Oddworld: Soulstorm, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War in this latest batch of giveaways for PlayStation Plus members.
PlayStation Plus is Sony’s subscription service for its consoles. Sony might be closing down the PlayStation Store for PS3 and its handhelds, but there’s plenty of fun to be had on the PS4 and PS5. As always, you’ll be able to enjoy these games for as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus membership — let’s check out what’s going to be available next month!
PlayStation Plus April 2021 Games – Days Gone
Days Gone puts you in the shoes of bounty hunter Deacon St. John. Armed with his trusty motorcycle (and a ton of weapons), you have to explore an open world set in the Pacific Northwest that has been overrun by “Freakers” in a fight for survival. Zombies aren’t the only danger, though, and you’ll explore a world filled with danger and drama, too.
This game was a pretty big PlayStation release, but it won’t be an exclusive for much longer — you’ll be able to get the Days Gone PC release sometime this Spring.
PlayStation Plus April 2021 Games – Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5 Only)
Oddworld: Soulstorm is the newest chapter in the long-running Oddworld franchise. We got more details about this game last year, and now you’ll soon be able to play it on a PS5. (Unfortunately, this game won’t be available through PlayStation Plus for PS4 owners for some strange reason.)
The adventures of Abe continue as he seeks to free his people from an evil corporate menace. New to this series is a crafting system that allows our hero to craft and customize weapons. It’s still pretty linear (as these games tend to go), but why tinker with a formula that works for nine games and counting?
PlayStation Plus April 2021 Games – Zombie Army 4: Dead War
Finally, Rebellion’s Zombie Army 4: Dead War rounds out this month’s collection of games. This shooter boils down to perfected simplicity: there are Nazi zombies. Your job is to shoot the Nazi zombies. Get up to three of your friends, gear up with guns, and get to work!
The formula for the Zombie Army games is pretty well established by now. The newest game in the franchise will take you and your friends to Italy and beyond in a challenging campaign where you’re always at risk of being overwhelmed. Speaking of Rebellion games, why not check out our review of its latest release Evil Genius 2?
And that’s it for this month’s games! Why not pick up a PlayStation Plus membership in 12-month, 3-month, and 1-month increments and get access to these games as soon as they drop? All three of these games will be available from April 6–May 3, 2021.
